JR237: Field Engineer (Environmental)

Salary: £27,000 Per Annum
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Field Engineer (Environmental) on behalf of one of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Execution of ground investigations.
2. Contract management on site, including delivery of projects on time and maximizing profits from each contract.
3. Contribute expertise and provide input into the siteworks of new projects.
4. Prepare and deliver technical reports.
5. Maintain an effective line of communication between site and the office.
6. Maintain courteous and professional relations with clients and build upon the reputation of the Company within the industry.
7. Build effective working relationships with other technical specialists within the Company.
8. Manage own time to ensure effective use of both billable and non-billable hours.
9. Work with Principal engineers to develop personal objectives.
10. Participate in professional growth opportunities and training and manage own career by being accountable for one’s behaviour, performance, and development.
11. Ensure alignment of behaviours, decisions, and actions to meet standards expected at the Company.
12. Contribute to and support management plans to enhance Company performance and profitability.
13. Support the maintenance of the quality, environmental, and health and safety accreditations.
14. Act in a professional and safe manner supporting the safeguarding of others in the workplace.
15. Assist the Project Managers in monitoring contractual and assurance performance.
16. Ensure Electronic Access to all relevant projects is kept up to date.
17. Keep abreast of key economic factors, technological advances, and political change that may affect the geo-environmental industry.
18. Evaluate information to make sound decisions to manage risk and drive safe, reliable, and sustainable operations and protect licence to operate.
19. Apply rigorous commercial and business thinking to decision making to generate value.
Skills and Experience:
1. Educated to BSc degree level [MSc], or equivalent, ideally in Geo-Environmental, Geo-Technical, or Earth Science disciplines.
2. Previous experience in a similar ground/site investigation and drilling services environment.
