Apex Scotland is the leading employment and training organisation specialising in work with people with convictions, offering a diverse range of services for young people and adults to help them break down barriers to employment and engage in education, employment or community activities. You will implement a new Apex Scotland service provision into the City of Edinburgh and Lothians for individuals with experience of the justice system. The service is designed to grow the numbers of people with experience of the justice system, or who are at risk of entering it, who can access suitable, tailored support and guidance, including those who can self-refer. The service will support individuals along the Apex Scotland Participant Journey, meeting them where they are, with regards to their personal development needs and life circumstances. The service will help people manage their emotional well-being, build trust and autonomy, and maintain stable lifestyles, including budgeting and money management. You will operate Edinburgh wide and will be required to be mobile and operate in an outreach manner, with means of access to regular travel and movement throughout the area. Membership of the Prevention of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is required. This post is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund: Improving Lives with funding for 3 years. We offer some great benefits, including family friendly policies, flexible and hybrid working and work-life balance. We also have generous annual leave entitlement, employee wellbeing scheme (Perkbox), pension scheme and death in service, company sick pay. We welcome applications from individuals who share Apex Scotland’s aims and values and value diversity from all sections of the community.
