Support Worker Outreach service Full time and part time roles available £12 per hour Working hours are between 8am-10pm. The Role You will be supporting individuals within their own homes with daily living skills, encouraging and promoting service users independence and supporting with tasks which include: meal preparation, household tasks, shopping, medication, personal care, attending medical appointments and activities in the community. During a shift you will travel between homes within the Hawick area. Having your own vehicle would be an advantage but not essential. None drivers should be prepared to walk in all weathers while on shift. Support ranges from short visits up to a few hours so you may be visiting multiple homes in one shift. We support a diverse group of individuals with complex needs. Our support workers are person centred in their delivery of care which makes our service very flexible and adaptable to each individual’s requirements. We support people to make their own choice, no matter how small and believe everyone should feel empowered to have choice and control over their lives. This job can be very rewarding and you can support people to reach goals, achieve outcomes and be part of their community. Having experience of supporting individuals with additional needs is desirable but not essential as training will be given. An enhanced adult PVG is required for this role.
