Solicitor - Manchester City Centre
HR and Employment Law, Legal Drafting, Settlement Agreements, Commercial Queries, Data Protection, Cross Train into Employment Law.
Location: Office based Manchester City Centre
Salary: Up to £40k (dep on experience)
An exciting opportunity has been created for a qualified Solicitor to join my reputable client, based within their stunning UK Head Office in Manchester City Centre.
Established over 30 years ago, my client, an in-group Law Firm provides a range of Legal expertise and advice to a wide variety of over 30,000 business clients throughout different industry sectors right across the UK.
The Role
As a Solicitor within this Law Firm's HR and Employment Advisory Team, your role requires you to work in a team providing legally compliant advice to clients by telephone and email in all aspects of HR and Employment Law, in order to support the business needs of the individual clients, whilst highlighting any options that are non-compliant and the risk this presents.
The position focuses on proactively undertaking cases involving Settlement Agreements, Commercial Queries, and Data Protection. In addition, you will assist with other teams across the business including the High Risk Complex case Team and High Risk Absence Management.
The Person
Ideally, applicants will have some commercial experience of HR and Employment Law; however, my client is prepared to look at candidates who genuinely wish to cross-train into and develop a legal career within HR / Employment Law.
The key attributes for the successful individual would be excellent communication and negotiation skills, legal drafting, all gained as a qualified solicitor from within a busy legal department or law firm, preferably with a bias towards commercial / business legal matters.
A can-do attitude is essential, along with the ability to work within a fast-paced environment, excellent time management skills, and a dynamic and flexible approach. The ability to work under pressure is also essential.
