Principal Workday Lead
We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Workday Lead to join our team here at Harrods. You will have a key role in shaping the Workday roadmap and enhancing system functionality and will work closely with stakeholders across HR, IT, and third parties to deliver value through Workday.
About the Role
As the Principal Workday Lead, you will be a technical subject matter expert for Workday-related issues, initiatives, and configuration, delivered both in BAU and project. You will manage our Workday Analysts, supporting and providing guidance on their projects, assisting with complex problem-solving, and handling escalations from the HR Services teams to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery.
You will also:
* Lead the design and architecture of our most complex Workday solutions, ensuring user experience, automation, and efficiency are at the core of our build.
* Act as a trusted partner with all key HR and IT stakeholders, acting as an escalation and reference point when required, setting the standard in the team for building credible, strong relationships.
* Stay updated with Workday product releases, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
* Identify opportunities to leverage new features and functionalities to enhance HR processes and drive innovation at Harrods.
About You
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a Workday Consultant, with a proven track record of optimisation and implementation. It is important that you have an in-depth knowledge of multiple Workday modules, including HCM, Security, Absence, Recruitment, Performance, Learning, as well as a strong expertise in Workday configuration, customisation, and integration methodologies.
You will also have the following:
* Strong experience of a test and release cycle and adoption of new functionality.
* Experience in troubleshooting and resolving system issues, with the ability to perform root cause analysis.
* Strong understanding of Workday architecture, security, and data management principles.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Experience of acting either as a manager or as a mentor to others to support both their personal development and in the execution of team deliverables.
