Job Description:
As a Service Advisor, you will be the liaison between our customers and our service technicians. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service experience. Your responsibilities will include:
* Greeting customers and assessing their service needs
* Providing detailed explanations of services and repairs
* Preparing accurate cost estimates and timelines
* Coordinating with service technicians to ensure timely and efficient repairs
* Maintaining regular communication with customers regarding the status of their vehicles
* Managing and updating customer records
* Ensuring customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or questions
Key Responsibilities:
* Welcome customers to the dealership and listen to their concerns regarding their vehicles
* Accurately document vehicle issues and service requests
* Provide customers with detailed information on necessary repairs and maintenance
* Prepare service estimates and obtain customer approval for work
* Schedule service appointments and coordinate with service technicians
* Follow up with customers to ensure their satisfaction and handle any complaints
* Maintain customer records and service history
* Stay informed about new products, features, and service techniques
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certifications are a plus
* Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role, preferably in an automotive setting
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
* Proficiency in using dealership management software and Microsoft Office Suite
* A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
* Knowledge of automotive technology and repair processes is preferred
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations
