WHAT TO EXPECT
The Group Reporting & Accounting (GR&A) team are leaders in technical and financial accounting. The team is critical for ensuring the quality, consistency and compliance of JLR’s global financial accounting and for driving excellence within the Group’s financial reporting process. The team has a key role in understanding and validating the Group’s financials, as well as producing the monthly consolidation and quarterly external financial reporting.
As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will support the wider finance business and GR&A teams by providing and developing the tools and processes needed to drive quality outputs and robust governance, with a focus on driving quality and value within the reporting process.
This is a challenging role which includes process improvement and controls excellence, accounting judgements and financial reporting all within a complex global business environment that is embracing digital transformation.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Developing and coordinating the central process for robustly reviewing and reporting the financial results of subsidiaries and global functions, ensuring alignment with group and parent company
2. Critically reviewing and analysing financial results of functions and the Group to identify trends and provide insights for stakeholders
3. Enhancing business processes using the latest tools and technologies, driving automation and efficiency
4. Utilising and interrogating financial reporting tools, including Oracle EPM and SAP, to improve the financial reporting process
5. Drafting and reviewing the Group’s consolidated financial statements under IFRS and ensuring appropriate accounting and reporting
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
1. Experience of working in a financial reporting role within a large multi-national business
2. Experience of developing and improving business processes
3. Interested in the implementation of digital technology
4. Have an up-to-date IFRS knowledge and familiarity with preparing or reviewing complex financial statements
