How you'll make a difference:
As a Community Meals Driver you will make a difference by delivering nutritious meals to members of the community who may not be able to cook for themselves.
What you will be doing:
* You will be part of a dedicated team providing a vital service to a range of customers throughout South Gloucestershire.
* Working independently, you will have a regular round providing the opportunity to get to know your customers and build relationships.
* As a driver you will be able to navigate your way around the South Gloucestershire area confidently to deliver community meals in a timely manner.
What we need from you:
* It is essential that you have a full driving license for this post. Ideally you will have knowledge of the South Gloucestershire area.
* You must be comfortable working independently. You will have good communication skills and be confident in interacting with people.
* We require you to be confident in making decisions knowing when to escalate any concerns.
* You will enjoy working at pace, able to balance your schedule with the needs of your customer.
What you need to know:
* Community meals is a year-round service, including Christmas and Bank holidays.
* Based at the Council Offices, Badminton Road, Yate, Bristol, BS37 5AF.
* Weekend work (one weekend in four) shifts are 10.45am to 14.15pm.
* Allowance: Sunday enhancement (time & half)
* Salaries pro-rated to hours worked.
* Your uniform will be provided.
* We will offer food hygiene and Allergen training if required.
* Please note that due to the nature of this role it is a requirement of employment that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is obtained for this post.
Interviews will be held in January 2025.
