Headley Professional Recruitment are working with a number of superb Housebuilding clients in West and South Yorkshire looking for experienced Quantity Surveyors at all levels. Each opportunity is working with impressive quality of homes, carefully selected and sought after locations with future developments lined up for 2025 and well beyond. The following roles are available: Quantity Surveyor - upto £55,000 Senior Quantity Surveyor - upto £68,000 Managing Quantity Surveyor - upto £75,000 Responsibilities including; • Providing professional, commercial and cost management for a number of new build developments and projects. • Providing support and advice to construction, commercial and technical teams on all aspects of contract management. • Assessment of payment applications. • Submitting tender information to sub-contractors based on the framework of the new build development they are bidding for. • Identifying, analysing and managing new development risks, ensuring risks are understood, valued and correctly allocated. • Providing advice on early warning notices, recharges, contra-charging and compensation events. • Assisting with the creation of contracts for new developments • Processing payments following approval of applications and resolving any issues which may arise. • Site visits to ongoing developments to check on construction packs/drawings making sure all are updated. Pre start meetings with subcontractors on new developments. • Arranging visits to ongoing sites with valuers on behalf of the bank • Analysing and managing information to ensure drawings and reports pertaining to commercial and construction information are accurate. Knowledge, Skills and Experience – About you; • Qualified to a relevant degree • RICS chartered status not a prerequisite • Cost and contract management experience within the new house building industry • Excellent track record in the commercial management of new build developments and projects ranging from £2m - £45m. • Financial and commercial experience. • Knowledge and experience of sub-contractor tendering. • Experience in funding and project management. • Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills. • A good understanding of Health and Safety. • Very strong numeracy, spreadsheet and financial skills. • Great team player.Idelly you will have COINS experience. In addition to the above Quantity Surveyor role, the Senior posts will expect extensive housebuilding experience and the Managing Quantity Surveyor should be a proven team player, managing the skillbase and work volume of a team.
