We are seeking a dedicated, motivated and skilled clinical Breast Nurse Specialist to join our team in SWBH. In this role you will provide expert clinical care, support and education to patients who are diagnosed with breast health conditions including breast cancer patients. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and other health care professionals to ensure comprehensive patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will have advanced expertise in breast cancer diagnosis and pathway, strong leadership skills and a passion for patient advocacy. You will play a key role in developing and implementing evidence-based practices, offering specialist advice, and enhancing the quality of care through education, research and clinical leadership.
Main duties of the job

Job responsibilities
1. Providing Effective Healthcare: Demonstrate advanced empathetic interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with patients and carers through the patient way from diagnosis to palliative care. Demonstrate advanced practice in holistic assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of specialist Breast Cancer care. This will necessitate high levels of autonomy and advocacy and include receiving direct referrals and ensuring the delivery of appropriate care for a caseload of patients. Act as a role model by demonstrating high standards of holistic care and provide clinical leadership in the specialist area.
2. Clinical Effectiveness: (Improving quality and health outcomes. Evaluation and research.) Demonstrate commitment to the promotion of skilled practice, which is research-based. Actively participate in audit and other reviews to monitor and improve clinical care.
3. Leading and Developing Practice of Self and Others: Demonstrate excellent communication skills, which incorporate active listening and feedback. Contribute to providing a comprehensive teaching programme for Breast Cancer Care across primary and secondary care.
4. Innovation and Change: Actively contributes to developing sound multi-disciplinary relationships and contribute to the MDT discussion.
5. Management: Works within the Trust policies and procedures.

Experience
* Demonstrable proven experience in Breast cancer care/oncology.
* Experience of audit initiatives and other quality initiatives.
* Experience and evidence in implementing change.
* Experience of research and development.
* Evidence of implementing research-based practice.
* Involvement in teaching and learning initiatives.
* Evidence of supporting others within the clinical environment.
Qualifications
* A11.
* Leadership Course.
* ENB 998 (Teaching and Assessing in Clinical /D33/D32 Practice), or equivalent course.
