Job Summary
Reporting to the Cashier Shift Manager, Windsor Casino Limited, the Finance Supervisor supervises the Casino Finance Cashiering and Banking areas; ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures and external regulations and legislation.
Roles and Responsibilities
Monitors, administrates, and supervises an assigned shift/area and ensures those under their supervision perform all duties in a professional and timely manner. Supports, directs, and trains staff on the daily operation of the department and counsels and disciplines employees in accordance with internal policies and procedures. Responds to and follows up on all customer/employee concerns and inquiries.
Maintains key control in work area on a daily basis. Generates and completes reports necessary to assist with work flow. Liaises with customers, staff, co-workers, union, upper management, other departments, Ontario Provincial Police, and Canadian and U.S. Banks to effectively communicate problems and resolve issues.
Complies with internal control manual, departmental policy and procedures, FINTRAC, and Alcohol and Gaming Commission Regulations. Monitors patrons to identify fraudulent activities. Ensures the workplace is a safe environment, free of health and safety violations. Verifies Casino Cashier and Casino Banker transactions.
Monitors transportation of Company assets. Maintains and balances all property cash machines. Reviews and prepares paperwork for Casino Audit as necessary. Maintains and balances currency in all satellite currency and reward machines throughout all areas of the casino. Complies with Windsor Casino Limited policies and procedures. Performs any and all related tasks as assigned by management. Upholds the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times.
Qualifications
1. Equivalent to a College Diploma in Accounting or a related field of study.
2. Experience working in a Chartered Bank would be an asset.
3. Minimum two years supervisory experience in a casino/hospitality environment related to cash handling or experience deemed acceptable by Windsor Casino Limited.
4. Knowledge of word processing applications, spreadsheet applications, industry-related software applications, and e-mail applications.
5. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
6. Ability to obtain a Gaming Key Employee License.
Physical Demands
Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is frequently required (i.e., between 25% and 75% of time on the job).
Physical effort requiring medium lifting is occasionally required. Physical exertion requiring prolonged standing is frequently required. Must be available to work all shifts. Applicants must be at least 19 years of age to work for Caesars Windsor.
