As a US GAAP Tax reporting Senior Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to be part of an ambitious company that is listed on the NYSE. The Tax Team are managed by the Tax Director who reports directly into the group’s CFO and leads a high profile tax function based in the Flutter Group’s offices in London, Dublin and Leeds. The Tax Team works closely with the business to deliver on all aspects of tax reporting. Role Overview/Purpose: This role will be primarily responsible for US GAAP tax reporting for the Flutter Group. As part of your role, you will work closely with Group Finance, Group Reporting and other key stakeholders in the business such as members of the Commercial teams, as well as Finance teams in the Group’s overseas jurisdictions. Specific Responsibilities: Managing the delivery of US GAAP tax reporting and budgetary requirements on a timely basis Reviewing the preparation of tax calculations for external reporting and internal forecasting Preparation and/or review of tax reporting supporting documentation and evidence for US GAAP and IFRS reporting purposes e.g. FIN48 reporting Working with divisional finance teams to ensure accurate tax reporting into Group (including training and development in US GAAP reporting, where applicable) Proactively identifying and helping to mitigate tax risks within the group Reviewing and communicating advice to be shared with stakeholders in the business and assisting with specific external reporting disclosure obligations (10K, 10Q and IFRS tax documentation) Ensuring we adhere to a SOX controlled tax reporting environment Education, Qualifications and Experience: Qualified accountant and/or tax advisor with 5 or more years post qualified experience, specifically with experience in US GAAP tax reporting Excellent US GAAP accounting and tax reporting knowledge. Experienced in using both reporting software (e.g. Oracle) and tax reporting software (e.g. Oracle EPM – Tax Reporting “TRCS”) Experience working in a SOX internal control environment Experience of managing teams, supporting and aiding their development and developing relationships with group auditors and finance teams Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment and embrace change Behavioral competencies: Collaborates - Is a team player and works with others across the business to get things done Communicates Effectively - Communicate effectively across a range of channels and non finance audiences Nimble Learning - Is agile and flexible.
