My client is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with expertise in the rail industry for an exciting long-term opportunity in Goole, UK. This role offers the chance to work onsite with a dynamic and supportive team, contributing to the development and improvement of critical rail production lines and electrical harness systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Rail Electrical & Harness Experience: Utilize expertise in rail electrical systems and harnessing to contribute to the manufacturing process.
* Production Line Support: Provide essential support to build lines and production lines in the rail sector.
* Industrial Engineering Team Support: Work closely with the IE team to assist with production stop requests (ANDON), work instruction updates, and improvements.
* Jig Requirements Coordination: Understand and coordinate jig requirements with production and tool suppliers.
* Engineering Change Investigations: Assist IE with investigating engineering changes and their impact on production processes and work instructions.
* Work Instruction Development: Review, create, and improve manufacturing work instructions, ensuring they meet all quality and safety standards.
* Problem-Solving: Bridge the gap between IE and production, ensuring production issues are resolved quickly and reliably by investigating designs (3D models, drawings, etc.).
* Work Instruction Support: Eliminate defects and errors in existing work instructions and add missing steps to improve clarity and efficiency.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Experience in Rail Electrical & Harness: Proven experience in the rail industry, particularly in electrical systems and harnessing.
* Production Line Experience: Strong background in supporting production line or build line activities.
* Industrial Engineering Experience: Demonstrated experience in working with IE teams and improving production processes.
* Work Instruction Expertise: Ability to develop, improve, and review work instructions to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
* Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to investigate issues proactively and coordinate with production teams to resolve them efficiently.
* Collaborative and Detail-Oriented: Capable of working collaboratively across teams and paying close attention to detail
