This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional teacher to use their abilities and knowledge, to work alongside the Director of Learning for English in the development of our new secondary school. We moved to our new permanent site in the Chesterwell development in Summer 2023. The English Department at Trinity is a small, supportive and experienced team. We are passionate about the exciting and diverse curriculum we teach, using thought-provoking texts from different English-speaking cultures, so students can:
* explore a range of perspectives through literature;
* confidently analyse the texts they encounter; and
* articulate their world views and experiences in their own writing.
As a school, we recognise the transformative impact of reading on children’s quality of life and the English team play a central role in supporting other departments to sustain high-quality literacy pedagogy. English teachers at Trinity help students make excellent progress through our efficient and impactful feedback policies. We offer a wide range of super curricular opportunities within the department, contributing to students’ enjoyment of the subject.
