Volantes Technical Recruitment are thrilled to share an exciting permanent opportunity for a B1 Licensed Engineer in Luton. 4 on 4 off, 40 hours per week Late shift – 13:00 – 01:00 Permanent, Luton THE ROLE: Perform line and base maintenance at Luton base under Part 145 and company procedures. Certify aircraft maintenance within approval limits while maintaining high standards. Oversee mechanics and non-certifying engineers, ensuring safe and proper procedures. Make independent maintenance decisions when necessary. Take a hands-on approach to aircraft maintenance tasks. Occasionally work away from base as required. Professionally manage customer and crew inquiries, ensuring timely resolution and feedback. HOURS: Luton base operates 24/7/365; flexibility and professionalism are essential. Work as part of a team covering a 24-hour operation, including days, lates, weekends, and bank holidays. Typical shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off, but flexibility may be needed for lone working or workload. Initial training involves Monday-to-Friday work and day shifts (07:00–19:00) before transitioning to late shifts. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE Licenses: Must hold a full UK Part-66 B1 and/or B2 License (copy required with application). Type Ratings: Two type ratings preferred (Challenger 300/350, 604/605, or Global Series); consideration given for one with relevant corporate experience. Training: Further type training provided as needed; must have current Human Factors training. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; sheet metal experience beneficial but not essential.
