About the Role:
* As a Business Development Manager, you will drive growth and market expansion for our materials and engineering solutions business. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and securing high-value contracts across industrial sectors such as oil & gas, chemicals, energy, and advanced manufacturing.
* Your focus will be on selling technical solutions and services into the materials market, leveraging your industry expertise to position our company as a preferred partner. This role requires a balance of strategic planning, sales execution, and commercial acumen to successfully deliver business growth in line with corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a business development strategy targeting key industries, including materials processing, energy, and infrastructure.
* Identify and engage with potential clients, fostering long-term partnerships and expanding our market share.
* Manage the full sales cycle—from market research and lead generation to contract negotiation and deal closure.
* Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project teams to align sales efforts with technical capabilities and customer needs.
* Drive revenue growth through structured sales plans, ensuring profitability and risk mitigation in all contracts.
* Stay informed on market trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes within the materials and engineering sectors.
* Support proposal development, bid preparation, and pricing strategies for large-scale projects.
* Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to build brand presence and identify new opportunities.
What We’re Looking For:
* Degree in engineering, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Proven track record in business development and sales within the materials, engineering, or industrial markets.
* Strong understanding of EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) projects, supply chain management, and contract negotiation.
* Experience selling technical solutions into industries such as energy, petrochemicals, mining, or advanced manufacturing.
* Ability to build relationships at all levels, from technical specialists to C-suite executives.
* Excellent commercial and financial acumen, with experience in risk management and strategic pricing.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop data-driven sales strategies.
* Experience in working within global and complex project environments.
* Additional languages and international sales experience are a plus.
