NEW CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE WITHIN A LEADING AEROSPACE AND DEFENCE COMPANY FOR A SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER
* Leading aerospace and defence company
* 12-month initial contract with probability of extension
* Hybrid role – 3 days on-site requirement in Portsmouth
* Ability to obtain SC Clearance
WHAT WILL THE SOFTWARE ENGINEER BE DOING?
As a Software Test Engineer, you will be joining a team undertaking the test software aspects of modem products and associated communication systems. The team as a whole is responsible for undertaking the design and implementation of a satellite communications Software Defined Radio (SDR) modem. You will be part of a small multi-disciplinary team containing software, system, firmware, and infrastructure engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Experience with Robot Framework as an automation tool
* Ability to architect, document, and implement integration tests in an embedded environment
* C++ software engineering experience on Linux platforms
* Git for software configuration control
* An active SC clearance is required
