About the Role: As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students. This role is particularly well-suited for Psychology graduates interested in pursuing a career in education, child psychology, or related fields, as it offers invaluable hands-on experience working with young people. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students in both one-to-one and small-group settings, addressing academic and personal challenges. Assist students with a range of needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN) or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) difficulties. Work closely with teachers to adapt lesson plans and resources to suit individual learning styles and abilities. Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies. Help students develop coping skills, confidence, and effective learning techniques. Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to staff and parents as required. Assist in pastoral care, helping students with their personal development and well-being. Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and staff training sessions.
