Kidspace Croydon is a fun and dynamic indoor family entertainment centre designed for children and families to enjoy. To ensure the smooth running of our facility, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Operations Manager to join our team. This is a new role ahead of our exciting plans for 2025. As part of the Escapade Group Limited we operate the ultimate indoor and outdoor adventure parks. Currently operating three popular brands across six sites, the business has ambitious plans to continue growing and expanding. At present, there is an established Hobbledown Adventure Farm Park & Zoo at Epsom and two Kidspace indoor play and children’s party venues at Croydon and Romford. Hobbledown Heath Adventure Farm Park & Zoo and Gripped London opened in 2022 in Hounslow, West London and Watermouth Castle in North Devon was acquired in 2023. We welcome over 1,000,000 people a year through our doors and host over 7000 birthday parties a year. Role Overview: As the Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the family entertainment centre, ensuring a high standard of customer service, safety, and cleanliness. You will be responsible for managing staff, coordinating events, optimising visitor experiences, and ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the attraction, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for children and families. Manage and lead a team of staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety in all play and common areas. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement safety procedures. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance visitor experience and staff efficiency. Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and effectively. Plan and coordinate events, parties, and group bookings to drive visitor engagement and revenue. Monitor inventory and manage stock levels for all operational supplies, including food and beverage items. Work closely with the marketing team to promote events, special offers, and seasonal activities. Key Requirements: Previous experience in a management or supervisory role, preferably within the leisure, hospitality, or family entertainment industry. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Excellent customer service skills with a passion for creating positive visitor experiences. Good understanding of health and safety standards, particularly related to child safety and public spaces. Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak times as required. First Aid and Safeguarding training (preferred but not essential). What We Offer: A competitive salary and benefits package.
