Job Description
Soliant Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Reading, MA. This full-time position involves working at a therapeutic sub-separate high school serving students ages 14-22 with significant disabilities. The position requires addressing the needs of students with limited to no verbal expression abilities, utilizing AAC devices as part of a total communication approach. This role will start on August 26 and continue until mid-to-late June, with SLPs working 35 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs.
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
* Provide direct services, including 2 x 30 min/week sessions, dyads, and whole class formats.
* Utilize AAC devices as part of a total communication approach.
* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational goals.
* Monitor and document students' progress.
* Provide training and resources to staff and families.
* Adhere to school policies and procedures.
Qualifications
* Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
* Valid state licensure in Massachusetts
* Experience working with students with significant disabilities is preferred
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
