Job Title: KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor Location: East of England, Essex, Wickford Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £20 - £30 Per hour Job Duties: Provide educational support to Key Stage 3 (KS3) students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an outreach setting (earners home, local library, school site etc) Create and implement individualised learning plans to meet the specific needs of each student Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to enhance students' academic and personal development Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements Adhere to safeguarding and health & safety guidelines at all times Required Qualifications: Recognised teaching qualification Experience working with students with SEN Strong understanding of the UK education system Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles Enhanced DBS check Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field Experience in delivering tailored education programmes for students with SEN Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions Effective classroom management skills Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues Preferred Qualifications: Additional training in specific SEN areas (e.g., autism, dyslexia) Experience working in an outreach or community-based setting Working Conditions: Part-Time hours with flexibility required Work mainly in an outreach location, potentially involving travel within the East of England Collaborative work with a multidisciplinary team Opportunities for professional development and training All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
