You will be joining a Commercial team with a flexible culture that represents North America's largest defence Procurement Programme - with the build due to commence in 2025. As a Senior Commercial Officer, you will be a vital member of the team, collaborating closely with the Commercial Executives to deliver high-quality commercial services that fulfil the operational requirements of the Programme. During the first 12 months, you will work on the Implementation Contract Mobilisation and then move on to Contract delivery, which will provide a broad experience. There may be the opportunity to work on other contract scopes and will be an opportunity to travel to Canada.
What you'll be doing:
* Producing and submitting commercial deliverables in line with the contract requirements.

* Interfacing with the customer; providing updates and working collaboratively to resolve issues.
* Providing commercial guidance and instructions to the project team and other internal stakeholders regarding the Implementation bid/contract and other related work.
* Working collaboratively with other functional and programme stakeholders (e.g. Export Control, Legal, Engineering, Procurement, etc.) to solve issues.
* Developing knowledge, relationships and interfaces with central Group functions (e.g. Commercial, Group IP, Treasury, Tax, Compliance and Regulation etc.)
Your skills and experience:
* Good knowledge of Commercial Contract principles, techniques, and practices.
* Strong customer focus.
* Experience working with contracts, ideally in a commercial role.
* Experience of governance processes.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
The successful candidate ideally will have a desired awareness of law; however, training will be fully provided.
