Experienced Social Worker – Wrexham Children Services (Assessment and Intervention Team)
Social Work qualification must be held.

The Assessment and Intervention Team (AIT) undertake comprehensive assessments with children and their families who may be experiencing difficulties. The team also completes all initial child protection enquiries into the department. Throughout their work, AIT is committed to promoting positive outcomes for the young people and families with whom they work. We work hard to keep families together but take steps when necessary to secure the immediate and longer-term safety of children.

This Experienced Social Worker post in the Family Support Team/ Looked after children team and Assessment intervention team attracts a recruitment incentive payment of £2,996 as a welcome to the Council.
In certain conditions, an additional retention incentive payment of £2,996 may also be applicable on the anniversary of your appointment if you remain in service in an eligible role/team.
This payment will be pro rata for part-time employees and is subject to normal employee deductions e.g. pension, NI, and Tax, and other terms and conditions apply. Please see the Recruitment & Retention Payment Guidance note for more details.
An Enhanced DBS check & Social Care Wales registration is required for this position.
