Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust
Are you a fully accredited clinician interested in joining our vibrant team working within critical care, oncology, and palliative care? We have two full-time vacancies, one at Southend and one at Broomfield hospital. We would be supportive of applicants requesting job shares and flexible working.
We are looking for appropriately qualified, enthusiastic, and highly motivated individuals who are resilient and flexible and able to meet the challenge of this work. We require candidates who can work on their own initiative, as well as in a team, with a displayed interest in the link between physical and psychological health.
Main Duties of the Job
The Psychological Therapies Service is a hospital-based psychological service, offering treatment for both inpatients and outpatients from a wide range of medical specialties. We are an experienced multidisciplinary team that includes psychotherapists, counsellors, clinical and counselling psychologists, mental health liaison staff, and administrators. We prioritize supporting our staff and their development by providing both individual and group supervision as well as regular team discussions.
You will link closely with the critical care and oncology and palliative care medical teams. The role involves working with inpatients and outpatients as well as providing a psychological perspective within the wider system. An interest in trauma and experience of evidence-based models would be helpful.
