Job summary North Wingfield Medical Centre are seeking to recruit a 6 session/3 days Salaried GP to join the team on a permanent contract basis. The successful candidate is to work as an autonomous practitioner, responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GP contract. Furthermore, the post holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team. Main duties of the job Delivery of highly effective medical care to the population in with the primary care contract Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidance Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated tasks On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance Work collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workload Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practice Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area(s) or QOF Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings Contribute to the development and maintenance of the practice including clinical governance and training Ensure compliance with the appraisal and revalidation process Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing development across the practice team Support the training of medical students Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditure Review and always adhere to practice protocols and policies Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, always promoting a culture of continuous improvement About us North Wingfield Medical Centre is a small hardworking team of friendly individuals working together to achieve the best possible care for our patient population. Together we collectively look after 4800 patients. Our supportive and collaborative team consists of 2 GP Partners, 1 Salaried GP, 1 Emergency Care Practitioner, 1 Practice Nurse, 1 Healthcare Assistant who are all assisted by excellent Management, Administration and Reception teams. Emphasis is placed on a family atmosphere with daily down time and regular social events forming part of our calendar. We are a training practice, achieve maximum QOF results and have a CQC rating of Good. We use SystmOne, Ardens and Accurx clinical software. We work closely with South Hardwick PCN, hosting several ARRS team members throughout the working week. We are also supported by a large multi-disciplinary Team Up Home Visiting Service.
