Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for a fixed term contract? We have a fantastic opportunity for you, based in Inverclyde until December 2025.
As Project Manager you would be responsible leader of assigned projects and will oversee end to end project management whilst managing project delivery teams, ensuring compliance and liaising with project stakeholders to ensure the safe delivery of the project in accordance with the contractual requirements regarding quality, schedule and budget.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
* Experience in a project leadership role in a ship building environment preferred.
* Contract and client management experience (essential).
* Experience in equivalent marine, oil & gas, or fabrication industries may be accepted as an alternative, and applications from these areas are encouraged.
* Experience in operational roles in shipyards, or equivalent.
* Attention to detail, with strong documentation skills.
* Degree qualified or relevant project management training. A Bachelor of Engineering degree is preferred.
* Experienced user of the Microsoft Office package of applications.
* Experience user of ERP systems.
* Primavera 6 and/or Microsoft Project user.
* Comprehensive understanding of the project cycle.
JOB DESCRIPTION
* Accountable for the safety, quality, schedule, and commercial benchmarks established for the assigned project(s).
* Development and agreement of the overall programme and budgets. Subsequently building effective working relationships with all stakeholders (internal and external) to deliver in accordance with the programme and budgets.
* Development and implementation of appropriate and effective change and risk management processes and procedures.
* Contract manager and sole point of contact for the client following contract award.
* Leadership of all project meetings such as performance reviews, weekly or monthly project meetings (internal or client).
* Project reporting (internal or client).
* Support the development of, and be responsible for, the implementation of Ferguson Marine policies, procedures and processes, both specific to the area of project management, but also as required in support of other areas of the business.
* Driving a culture change programme to facilitate the business moving forward with the correct behaviours and values.
