We’re looking for a dedicated Transport Coordinator to support the Academy’s travel and logistics operations, ensuring safe and efficient transport for players, staff, and their families.
As a Transport Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of Academy players, staff, and guests. You will manage daily transport schedules, oversee vehicle maintenance, and coordinate logistics relating to domestic and international tours, tournaments, and training camps.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing & coordinating daily transport schedules for Academy players, staff, and families.
2. Ensuring compliance with transport and driving regulations, including driver working hours.
3. Overseeing fleet management—ensuring vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and legally compliant.
4. Organising travel arrangements for domestic and international tours, training camps, and tournaments.
5. Liaise with external transport providers to maintain high service standards.
6. Providing a first-class meet & greet service for triallists, prospective signings, and their families.
7. Liaising with Academy staff to ensure all player travel needs are met in a professional and timely manner.
8. Keeping accurate records of all transport arrangements and ensuring compliance with club policies.
9. Manage invoice processing, player travel passes and contractual allowances to ensure financial accuracy and cost control.
10. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the driver team.
What we are looking for
1. Sound knowledge in transport, logistics, fleet management and travel operations.
2. Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
3. Effective communication & interpersonal skills—able to liaise with staff, players, parents, and external stakeholders.
4. Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing needs.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
6. Positive attitude and an appreciation of the importance of team culture.
7. Personal integrity and ability to invoke trust and respect from others.
8. Able to build and maintain excellent working relationships.
9. Please note, this role requires working unsociable hours including evening and weekends.
10. Hybrid role based in Manchester office 4 days per week.
11. Knowledge of logistics software or transport management systems.
12. Experience managing supplier relationships and service contracts, able to build and maintain excellent working relationships.
13. Understanding of Premier League regulations relating to travel & transport.
14. Full UK driving licence with no endorsements.
15. Looks to produce innovative solutions wherever possible.
