Albert Park College opened in 2011 with a year 7 enrolment capped at 150 students and has been developed as a Year 7-12 college. The College is multi-campus and located in a prized inner-city location, incorporating recycled materials, indigenous flora, and natural light and ventilation, reflecting our community's belief in environmental sustainability.
As a designated Apple Mac school, all staff are expected to be familiar with the use of Apple computers / devices as an integral part of their teaching and learning. The school offers two streams: general co-educational entry and a Select Entry Accelerated Learning program that admits up to 50 students based on an entrance test and interview.
Three key themes drive the culture of the college: a celebration of arts and culture, scientific and mathematical exploration, and the development of outstanding leadership capabilities. * SC1 : Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills.
* SC2 : Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies.

* SC4 : Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.

Role
The classroom teacher classification comprises two salary ranges - range 1 and range 2. The primary focus of the classroom teacher is on planning, preparation, and teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes. Classroom teachers engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge and effectively engage students.
Classroom teachers may be required to undertake other duties in addition to their teaching responsibilities.
Responsibilities
* Direct teaching of groups of students and individuals;
* Contributing to curriculum development and evaluation;
* Participating in activities such as parent / teacher meetings and staff meetings;
* Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.
Who May Apply
