Role: Pre Construction Manager
Location: Aberdeen

Your new role
What you’ll do:
Production & Commercial
1. Provide the line management function for pre-construction staff
2. Manage the pre-construction activities
3. Prepare tender price and submission documents for bids
4. Prepare budget costs for projects at feasibility stage
5. Produce tender reports as required
6. Monitor and manage tender correspondence/documents/drawings
7. Carry out cost/value investigations in conjunction with Tender Team
8. Understand construction programmes and their implications on costs and bids
9. Identify and manage risks and opportunities associated with tenders
10. Identify value engineering to maximise commercial returns to the business
11. Attend external and internal meetings and interviews
12. Manage Bid Winning Workshops
13. Manage Risk and Opportunity Workshops
14. Prepare Answer Planning and execute in accordance
15. Prepare Capture Plans to support a winning
16. Ensure that the supply chain is considered to satisfy the requirements
17. Review the commercial and contractual aspects of the supply chain tenders
18. Utilise and develop the Robertson supply chain database

What you’ll need:
1. Sound knowledge of Public Procurement and how to score highly in Quality
2. Strong Bid Writing Skills
3. Management Experience
4. Complimentary relevant industrial experience with a construction related academic background
5. Commercially astute
6. IT literate and numerate
7. Able to identify and assess commercial risk and develop winning strategies for projects
8. Sound knowledge of technical, contractual and procurement techniques
