The Customer Account Manager role is primarily responsible for managing and nurturing the relationships with existing clients to ensure their satisfaction, retention, and growth. This role often involves a combination of account management, customer service, and sales functions. Creating accurate and timely estimates for customers by interpreting customer enquiries and pricing these enquiries in line with the pricing procedures and policies.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Track, communicate on and respond to customer enquiries in a timely manner.
* Using effective time management and evaluation of customer enquiries, manage and balance responses to drive the optimum return for the business.
* Interpret customer enquiries accurately including drawing take offs, schedules of materials and general project documents.
* Ensure strong relationships are maintained with customers across all levels by providing proactive and consistent customer engagement, including both in the office and site visits.
* Engage with key stakeholders within the business to ensure job winning solutions are identified. Propose understanding and communicate risks, including value engineering and alternative solutions where appropriate.
* Engage with key stakeholders within the business to ensure that an effective and accurate estimate for the works is provided to the customer.
* Where required, engage with key business stakeholders to ensure an accurate delivery timeframe is supplied whilst balancing the customer's need with business capability.
* Manage projects through the delivery fulfilment process.
* Work within the company policies to ensure pricing, commercial risks and operational capability are evaluated.
* Challenge effectively to ensure the most effective customer solution is provided, that meets the capability and commercial expectations of the business.
* Provide day-to-day support to the Head of Sales - A360 in providing coaching and mentoring support to the team.
Key Skills:
* Experience in a similar account management, client services, or customer relationship role.
* Knowledge of the industry specific to the company is preferred but not essential.
* The ability to analyse data, prepare reports and use insights to drive decision making and improve account performance.
* Excellent verbal and written communication techniques to clearly convey information to customers and to internal teams.
