Location: London Area (with travel to Welwyn Garden City, Romford, East Grinstead, and Slough) Hours: 7.5-hour working day between 07:00 - 19:00 Pay: £170 per day Start Date: 19/01-31/07 Providing essential support across various customer accounts, including government and banking sectors. Key Responsibilities: Provide intermediate to advanced level desktop installation, configuration, support, and troubleshooting services. Basic Wintel server installation, configuration, administration, and break-fix repairs. Travel to datacentre/server sites as required. Essential Skills and Experience: Data Centre Support: Experience and knowledge in server technology, including datacentre - HP Proliant G8 - G10, Dell server, Lenovo blades, back-ups, tape library, storage, configuration, and hardware. Ability to quickly learn and support basic desktop & laptop hardware and software in a W10/Win11 environment (HP, Dell, Lenovo). Mac OS experience and knowledge (desktop and MacBook). Proficiency in MS Office products (Office 365 and Teams). Experience with Apple, Android, and other mobile devices. Understanding of wireless connectivity and fault diagnostics. Ability to floor walk and handle technical queries in walk-up Tech Bar environments. Navigation around OS to find and recreate desktop shortcuts. Adding printers and mapping network connections. Following scripts to build and configure laptops and desktops. Performing moves and changes and setting up workstations. Cisco knowledge. Excellent customer skills are essential. Clearance Requirements: Ability to gain clearances for various customers, including Government SC and DV.
