Lead Occupational Therapist – Disability Resource Team
Are you a positive person who can provide leadership for our occupational therapy team? Do you have strong legal literacy to support your clinical decision-making? Can you inspire the workforce by highlighting opportunities and fostering teamwork to find innovative solutions? If so, we need you on our team!
You will need to be an experienced HCPC registered Occupational Therapist ideally with knowledge of health and social care occupational therapy services and leadership.
Our occupational therapy team works with individuals with long term conditions and disabilities to maximise their potential to live well in their homes and communities. We use a strength based approach to help them overcome some of the challenges of their condition and environment enabling them to do the everyday activities they value. The service consists of occupational therapy, community support workers and the social work team. We work closely with colleagues and partners in health and the voluntary sector to ensure that we have an integrated and collaborative approach. The practitioner will need to have skills in the provision of therapeutic techniques, moving and handling, equipment and adaptations to support people to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide occupational therapy services with skills in therapy, the provision of moving and handling solutions, equipment and adaptations provisions.
* Provide leadership and direction to the occupational therapy and sensory team.
* Support the manager in running, governance and development of the Disability Resource Team service.
* Support the service in meeting their statutory duties under the Care Act and Care Quality Commission standards.
* Be able to travel across the county of East Riding to provide services, have a valid driving license, use of a car with business insurance is required.
* Workforce recruitment and retention.
* Resolving and learning from complaints.
