Location: DP World, London Gateway (Office-based, 5 days a week)

Are you an experienced Senior Logistics and Container Planning Specialist with a passion for logistics? We're looking for a Container Traffic Planner to join our team! If you have at least 5 years of experience in container transport and a strong knowledge of port systems (including VBS), this could be the perfect opportunity to take the next step in your career. ✅
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and optimise container vehicle routes for best fleet utilisation
Manage and coordinate container transport to ensure timely delivery
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of port systems, including VBS
Liaise with customers and provide high-quality service and updates
Ensure compliance with driver legal hours and the Working Time Directive
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK geography and transport networks
Use transport operating systems like TOPS/Truckcom to enhance operations
Coordinate day-to-day container movements and resolve issues as they arise
What We're Looking For:
✔️ A minimum of 5 years' experience in container transport and traffic planning
✔️ Expertise in port systems, especially VBS
✔️ Strong understanding of driver regulations and the Working Time Directive
✔️ Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach
✔️ Proven ability to optimise vehicle routes and manage high-volume operations
✔️ Familiarity with transport operating systems like TOPS or Truckcom (advantageous)
✔️ Strong general knowledge of UK geography and transport infrastructure
✔️ Excellent timekeeping and the ability to thrive under pressure
