Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:
We are currently recruiting for Support Workers to work as part of a team in a Supported Living service in Castlemilk, Glasgow where we support and encourage people we support to live their lives as independently as possible.
Candidate must hold a UK driving licence and should have experience driving a manual vehicle.
We can offer a full-time or part-time position, predominantly working day shifts between 8am-8pm (including some weekends). There may be occasion to take part in night shifts if there is a requirement for cover.
As a Support Worker, you will support people who have learning and physical disabilities, autism and mental health concerns with their daily routines. The people you'll be supporting enjoy going out in the car, playing games, watching movies, listening to music and enjoying sensory stimulation but they're always looking to try new activities! At times, you may need to provide psychological and social support and help to promote appropriate behaviour, so the ability to remain calm is really important.
