As Maths Teacher at Mill School, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will plan, assess, and deliver outstanding teaching and learning using proven methods and approaches that enable all young people to learn, whilst ensuring that pastoral needs are also met. You will establish excellent relationships with parents and carers and inspire trust and confidence in pupils, colleagues, families, and other professionals.
About you:
For this role, we are looking for someone who holds a teaching degree or equivalent and QTS. Ideally, you will have teaching experience delivering the Maths National Curriculum and GCSE specifications (KS2-4) along with experience of working with children with SEND and ASC. We are keen to hear from teachers who have experience working with children with autism spectrum conditions and social emotional and mental health needs; however, due to the supportive culture at Mill School, this position may also be suitable for mainstream primary or secondary teachers and ECTs who feel they are ready to take on a challenge. With a proven ability to deliver high quality, lively, and effective teaching which engages and motivates young people, you’ll be someone who has a passion for supporting them to learn and develop, and you’ll want to make a difference to the lives and education of our children and young people. About us:
We are an independent specialist day school in Bury, Greater Manchester designed with a state-of-the-art learning environment which has been created to meet the needs of young people with autism. Here at Mill School, we are experienced at working with young people who have been out of education for a period of time or who have become school phobic.
We work to support reintegration back into school and provide young people with opportunities to develop friendships.
