DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage your own portfolio of clients, offering tailored HR advice and guidance on a range of people-related matters. You will build strong relationships with businesses of different sizes and industries, ensuring they receive the best possible HR support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Act as the first point of contact for your assigned client base, providing expert HR advice on issues such as employee relations, performance management, absence management, and disciplinary & grievance matters.
· Guide clients through employment law compliance, HR best practices, and policy development.
· Support businesses with recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
· Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with each client’s business goals.
· Deliver HR projects such as restructuring, TUPE, and change management initiatives.
· Draft contracts, policies, and HR documentation tailored to client needs.
· Keep up to date with employment law changes and industry trends, ensuring clients receive accurate and current advice.
· Provide training and workshops on HR topics to clients as required.
· Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities to offer additional HR services.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
· Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar role, ideally within a consultancy or multi-client environment.
· Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
· Ability to manage multiple clients and balance competing priorities effectively.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
· Commercial awareness and the ability to align HR strategies with business objectives.
· A proactive problem-solver who can work independently and as part of a team.
· CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience is desirable.
· Experience in delivering training/workshops is a plus.
SYSTEMS CAPABILITY:
· All aspects of Microsoft Office, especially in Word and Excel (essential)
· HR Systems such as MyHRToolkit/Breathe HR (desirable)
WORKING HOURS:
This position will be flexible, requiring 30 hours a week over 5 days.
