Accounts Manager - Qualified

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established firm and continue your accountancy career. This is a full-time role based in one of our accounts teams. The varied nature of our clients means that you will be constantly challenged and continually gaining valuable experience.
Key responsibilities:
* Have a strong working knowledge of accounting principles and practices to deliver an effective service to clients.
* Prepare and review accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
* Deliver tax planning and prepare self-assessment tax returns for individuals.
* Provide dividend/remuneration planning for company directors.
* Have excellent client relationship skills and handle client queries in a positive and client-focused manner.
* Provide strategic advice to clients on their accounts, taxation and accounting systems/processes.
* Provide mentoring and leadership to colleagues within the accounting team and assist in their development.
* Review VAT returns for the bookkeeping team.
* Undertake any ad hoc work as required by the accounts team.
Qualifications:
* ACCA/ACA qualified - Essential
* Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
* Knowledge and experience in accounting computer applications
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the management of financial systems and budgets, financial reporting, financial data analysis, auditing, taxation, and providing financial advice
* Strategic thinking and ability to identify problems for analysis
* Strong communication and supervisory skills
