JOB DESCRIPTION AKG Group UK Company: Jobs 22 Position Title: Employer Services Consultant (ESC) Job Level 8 Role Status: F/T Reports To: Regional Employer Services Manager Roles Reporting to this Position: None Primary Objective: To establish and maintain effective partnerships with employers, facilitating the successful placement and retention of our participants into sustainable employment. Key Relationships/Interactions Internal Employment Coaches: a) Work closely with Employment Coaches to understand participants' needs and aspirations. b) Share vacancy information, coordinate job placements, and ensure participants receive necessary support. c) Maintain regular communication to tailor job opportunities to participants' specific skills and goals. Regional Employer Manager: a) Collaborate with the Regional Employer Manager to develop and implement local engagement plans. b) Focus on expanding employer partnerships within the region and aligning strategies with organisational goals. c) Support the execution of outreach and engagement initiatives to enhance employment opportunities. Business Managers: a) ESCs will maintain strong relationships with Business Managers to understand office activities and participants' needs. b) Collaborate to build and implement Local Employer Engagement Plans (LEEPs), strategically engaging local employers and aligning job opportunities with participants' skills. Other Teams (as relevant): Engage with other teams, such as marketing and skills, to ensure a cohesive approach to participant placement and employer engagement. External Local Employers: a) Engage with local employers to understand their recruitment needs and align these with the skills of our participants. b) Develop and maintain strong relationships to facilitate successful job placements and long-term partnerships. National Employers: a) Work with national employers who have a presence in the local area to explore opportunities for participants. b) Build relationships with these employers to ensure they are aware of the local talent pool and the benefits of hiring our participants. Employment Networks and Chambers of Commerce: a) Participate in local employment networks and chambers of commerce to build connections and stay informed about local labour market trends. b) Leverage these relationships to identify new employer partners and opportunities for participants. Key Responsibilities The Employer Services Consultant will partner with employers across various sectors to assess workforce needs and develop tailored strategies to meet labour market demands. You'll build and maintain strong relationships with employers, understanding their recruitment challenges and expanding opportunities for participants. Account Management: Manage employer accounts in alignment with our agreement framework, ensuring that relationships are maintained to agreed standards. Follow established processes for professional account management, ensuring all systems are kept up to date with accurate reflections of employer and participant interactions. Opportunity Development: Identify and leverage participant and employer needs to develop new employment opportunities. Advise employers on effective recruitment techniques, including personality-based interviews and work trials, to support participants in securing employment. KPI Achievement: Focus on achieving KPIs related to job outcomes and employer satisfaction. Work to meet these targets through successful participant placements and maintaining high levels of employer satisfaction via excellent service and support. Communication and Collaboration: Actively communicate job opportunities to employment coaches and wider teams to ensure participants have the best possible chance of moving into employment. Employer Engagement Coordination: Coordinate employer engagement activities, including the planning and execution of regular job fairs and employer events. These activities should be tailored to the specific needs of each office and designed to align with the employment goals of our participants and the requirements of local employers Labour Market Insight: Maintain a thorough understanding of the local labour market and industry trends to inform the delivery of sector-specific skill training. Promotion of Social Value: Promote the social value of hiring participants, contributing to positive community impact and broader social outcomes through the successful employment of participants. Essential/Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience Essential: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employers across sectors, managing accounts professionally and ensuring alignment with workforce development needs. Experience with effective recruitment techniques, such as personality-based interviews and work trials, to support job placements. Strong communication skills to convey opportunities to employment coaches and teams. Success in achieving KPIs related to job outcomes and employer satisfaction. In-depth knowledge of local labour markets and trends, with the ability to promote the social value of inclusive hiring. Desirable: Experience in supported employment. Background in developing sector-specific training and managing employment-related projects. Strong negotiation skills for securing new opportunities and adapting roles to participant needs. Familiarity with account management systems and data accuracy. Adaptability to changing labour market conditions and an established network within industries. Knowledge of social value principles and how they impact community outcomes and employer partnerships.
