Join our Vehicle Management System's team based in Bristol as a Safety Systems Engineer and help us to achieve our mission of pioneering electric aviation.
We're keen to speak with Safety System Engineer's with Avionics background to participate in the design, development and integration of vehicle management and avionics suite for our eVTOL platform.
You'll lead the system safety analysis while the vehicle management system architecture is being developed, and with your avionics background, will bring knowledge of complex avionic systems (mission computers, touch screen displays, airborne sensors, CNS systems, FMS, autoflight) along with hands on experience with safety protocols, regulatory standards and system safety analysis and system-level testing.
What are your responsibilities, as a Safety Systems Engineer?
* Requirements Management: Develop and maintain requirement traceability matrices, ensuring all requirements are documented and tracked throughout the project life-cycle.
* System Safety Design: Develop the safety design deliverables including FTAs, FHAs, and SSAs for the vehicle management and avionics systems.
* Verification and Validation: Perform verification and validation activities to ensure systems meet user requirements and function as intended.
* Design and Development: Create and develop integrated suite including sensors, navigation, communication, displays and autoflight systems with a focus on safety and compliance with aviation regulations (FAA/EASA).
* System Integration: Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure system compatibility and integration into platform.
* Technological Advancement: Stay current with technological advancements and implement new technologies into avionics designs.
