About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Merchandiser to drive our multi-product offering, optimizing merchandise and range plans to maximize performance across multiple channels and regions. In this role, you'll work cross-functionally to achieve financial KPIs, implement a robust Option Planning strategy, and leverage customer insights to shape our product strategy. You'll continuously monitor category performance, making data-driven decisions to drive sales and optimize markdown phasing in line with our trading calendar.
Responsibilities:
* Planning & Strategy: Develop commercial product strategies using customer insights, sales data, and market trends to optimize category performance. Drive sales and profit plans while managing stock, pricing, and markdown strategies to maximize revenue.
* Trading & Performance: Autonomously trade your department, identifying risks and opportunities, reforecasting sales and profit, and collaborating with Buying, eComm, and Marketing teams to optimize trade performance. Monitor competitor activity and regional trends to keep ME+EM ahead.
* Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with Retail, eComm, and Logistics teams to ensure seamless stock flow, maximize omnichannel sales, and align strategies with business goals.
* Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor the merchandising team, fostering a high-performance culture. Drive training, career progression, and succession planning while acting as a key influencer across the business.
Skills:
* Proven working experience in merchandising
* Excellent analytical skills
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Strong listening, presentation and decision-making skills
* Someone who uses initiative with a hands-on approach and the ability to prioritise.
* Ability to multi task in our fast paced environment.
