Account Manager Opportunity
Are you an experienced Account Manager searching for a fresh and rewarding challenge?
Our client, a prestigious and award-winning family-run business located near Skegness, is looking to expand their team with the addition of an Account Manager. In this role, you will primarily manage a long-term, trusting relationship with one key customer; however, the role may also require looking after other customers when necessary. You will be responsible for handling existing customer relationships whilst looking to grow and develop new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key customers to support long-term partnerships.
2. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer service, adapting products and services to align with customer needs and business goals.
3. Conduct regular in-person meetings with customers to foster communication and trust.
4. Lead annual strategy sessions with key clients to outline goals and plans.
5. Identify and pursue both short- and long-term opportunities to drive growth and maximize sales potential.
6. Develop and implement tailored account plans for each customer.
7. Deliver precise monthly forecasts on sales volume and value by product and work closely with the Supply Chain team to address specific requests.
8. Analyze account EPOS data weekly to identify action points and areas for improvement.
9. Align closely with stakeholders to optimize costs and ensure the business strategy is effectively executed.
10. Manage trading terms and implement price changes in line with company contracts.
11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, including contract updates and renewals.
12. Support the Sales Director with the preparation of annual budgets.
Your Skills and Experience:
1. Proven experience in account management and skilled in negotiating with customers.
2. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.
3. A collaborative and proactive approach, demonstrating accountability and integrity in achieving goals.
4. Strong numerical and analytical abilities, with competence in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
5. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, combined with enthusiasm for driving results.
6. Experience within the FMCG sector is highly desirable.
Hours/days of work: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm. Office-based role.
