We are looking for a passionate and proactive Learning and Development Specialist to join our People and Culture team. In this role, you will be responsible for aligning training and development initiatives with our company goals and ensuring that employees have access to relevant learning opportunities that support their growth and success. Reporting to the People and Culture Manager, you will plan, implement, and occasionally lead training sessions across various teams, playing a pivotal role in ensuring our development strategy is effective, up-to-date, and impactful. You will also support our managers on site with their professional development, assisting them with their transition from technician roles to be effective leaders.
Main Tasks:
* Maintain and foster relationships with approved training providers
* Create, update, and refine HR processes related to learning and development
* Ensure all employees are registered for relevant and mandatory training sessions
* Collaborate with managers to organise team-based training and workshops
* Continuously analyse and enhance our career paths, job descriptions, and competency framework
* Stay informed on the latest learning and development trends, laws, and regulations
* Ensure the organisation maximises available funding for training initiatives
* Conduct talent gap analyses to identify and address skill gaps within teams
* Design, implement, and monitor training programs, tracking progress, success, and areas for improvement
* Gather feedback from training sessions to inform future programs
* Support the graduate trainee program through effective hiring, department transitions, and feedback collection
Occasional/Future Tasks:
* Deliver onboarding, role-specific training, and coaching as needed
* Contribute to global HR initiatives and support cross-functional tasks when necessary
* Assist in implementing a comprehensive learning and development program as part of recruitment efforts
* Help coordinate employee and company events
* Support employer branding initiatives
Qualifications and Competencies:
We seek a team member who is approachable, trustworthy, and genuinely invested in supporting the growth of our colleagues. A strong understanding of HR practices, especially regarding Learning and Development, is essential. The ideal candidate is thorough, detail-oriented, and consistent, capable of ensuring smooth and uniform processes across all training initiatives. Additionally, administrative expertise is critical, as this role involves a substantial amount of organisational and administrative work.
The preferred candidate will either hold or be working toward a CIPD Level 3 in Learning and Development or possess equivalent relevant experience.
