Job Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Curator to support a project to develop an innovative heritage project to engage local, regional, and national audiences with a treasure acquisition at the Museum of Somerset, in the community and online. The Assistant Curator will support the Project Curator and Project Group with the development of content for the project engagement programme and permanent displays, as well as associated collections work.
Qualifications
We are looking for an organised, collaborative, and flexible individual who has a passion for heritage and culture, with skills and experience in collections management and preparing content for a range of projects and exhibitions.
About Us
The South West Heritage Trust is an independent charity which provides heritage services across Somerset and Devon. We run two Archive and Local Studies services and three museums, including the Museum of Somerset, and look after Somerset’s historic environment, including over 400 acres of historic landscapes.
