Job Description Mechanical Maintenance Manufacturing Services Technician Full Time Derby What you will be doing: We currently have an exciting opportunity for a for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Manufacturing Services Technician within our Precision Casting Facility in Derby. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance repairs on production manufacturing assets and all associated production equipment. You will also provide support to the Manufacturing Services Leader and Manufacturing Services Engineers on projects and improvements. The Precision Casting Facility is Rolls-Royce’s largest domestic facility and home of the single crystal turbine blade. The PCF is a high-volume single crystal HP and IP turbine blade manufacturer for a multitude of products, employing world class processes, integrated manufacturing systems and advanced measurement techniques. Responsibilities: In this role you will be responsible for installations, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of various manufacturing assets such as CNC machines, induction furnaces, injection machines, automated systems, you will also: Perform a range of routine, reactive, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance tasks. Work across the plant, site or business, to ensure that manufacturing equipment is safe, available and capable for use when required. Utilise hand tools and test equipment to deliver customer requirements. Use drawings and data to inform and implement the most effective approach towards capable mechanical systems. Coordinate workload and mechanical activities with customers, regularly communicating and interfacing with Production Leaders, Team Leaders, Design Engineers, Maintenance Team members and Production Operators. Work with site Manufacturing Engineers to help understand and restore equipment performance to the standard. Work alongside/support equipment OEM-s and Design engineers. NVQ/SVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline including completing a time-served recognised apprenticeship. Good understanding of Maintenance operations and fault finding on mechanical breakdown. Basic IT literacy and ability to work to engineering drawings. Understanding of local and regional health and safety standards and regulations. Shift pattern details: 12h shifts, including nights and weekends – 4 on 4 off pattern consisting of 2 days on – 2 nights on, 4 days off.
