Pitlochry Depot
As part of a team, you will perform maintenance tasks throughout the Pitlochry area such as grass and hedge cutting, pesticide application, and litter collection. You should have a horticultural background with good plant knowledge.
You may also be required to carry out other duties such as assisting with burials, street sweeping, refuse collection, and any other Environment Service's tasks as and when required.
You must be able to carry out the physical demands of the post and complete paperwork associated with the post, e.g., timesheets, work schedules, maintenance records, etc.
A working knowledge and experience of computers/smartphones would also be beneficial.
The Environment Service has moved from traditional Mon-Fri shift patterns; this post is a Wednesday to Saturday in week 1 and Thursday to Saturday in week 2 working pattern.
A Cat C1E driving licence is essential, with Current CPC being desirable.
You must have a valid C1E driving licence as this post requires you to travel to a variety of locations across Perth and Kinross.
The Individual
To be successful in this role, you will be physically fit and prepared to walk while carrying/moving loads over rough ground in all weathers. You will have a strong constitution regarding adverse odours and may be required to work overtime.
