Therapeutic Support Assistant - Oxford

The School:
1. Look after students aged between 4 and 16.
2. All students have been diagnosed with Autism and struggle with other co-existing needs.
3. Need support with building on communication skills, social skills, and interpersonal skills.
4. Struggle with mental health needs that branch off into social and emotional needs.
5. This school also makes use of a specific therapy during the school day - to which you will be given full training.
Responsibilities in your role as a Therapeutic Support Assistant:
1. Provide 1 to 1 and group support to children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
2. Develop and implement individual support plans in collaboration with educational staff.
3. Provide individualised support to students, addressing their emotional, social, and educational needs.
4. Facilitate group activities and promote positive peer interactions.
5. Provide guidance in emotional regulation and coping strategies.
6. Make use of therapeutic interventions to best support the students.
