I am looking for a personal assistant to work regular hours to support my two children with day-to-day activities in the home and out and about, personal care such as eating and nappy changing, keeping safe in all the above, helping whichever child is being worked with at the time as there are two children, helping with maintenance of household tasks pertaining to the children, and providing respite for parents.
Boy (11 Years Old):
Boy is non-verbal, but very musical. He will sing a lot and loves playing on his tablet and listening to folk music. He is happy most of the time and loves to run and play on the swings in the park. His sensory processing means he needs a lot of physical pressure, and he likes to roll up towels or items of clothing and play with them, and also rip paper or card as this seems to help a lot. He can be very affectionate when he gets to know you. He struggles travelling places and does not seem to be aware of danger when he is out and about. He needs constant supervision in and out of the home. He has a lot of baths and needs a high level of personal care.
Girl (10 Years Old):
Girl is able to talk, but it is limited. She mostly quotes the various Disney and Netflix programmes she watches. She loves walking in the woods, going to the park, and drawing, and is very slowly learning to write. She often draws little people and then rips them from the paper to play games with them. She enjoys dancing with her family in the living room. She plays a lot, acting out with dolls and toys what she is watching on her tablet – this can often mean keeping an eye on how much toothpaste she has access to, for example. She is a natural performer and can be exuberantly tactile when she gets to know you.
