MAIN PURPOSE: • This crucial role will shape and deliver a commercially focused, compliant and appropriate people plan to support their services and departments to achieve organisational success. • You will implement the organisation’s people strategy and policy, leading change and driving the adoption of people policies and processes across your services and departments. • You will be an integral partner in order to drive performance and continuous improvement through insights and develop people management capability across your areas to support the success of the organisation’s strategy. • You will act as a change champion working within your region to support organisation change processes to ensure successful implementation and embedding of new ways of working. MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • To work in collaboration with Department, Service/Area Managers and Service Directors to identify and forecast people management needs, including for example, resource planning, retention and absence strategies and support the development of customised people plans to meet these needs, linking with other internal colleagues where appropriate i.e L&D and CRT • To utilise HR data and analytics to identify trends, measure HR effectiveness, and inform decision making, providing insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement in HR and business outcomes. To enhance commercial thinking through key people measures & insights To lead and facilitate change management initiatives, ensuring effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and adoption of change to minimise resistance and maximise organisational effectiveness. To drive and implement people strategy at a local level; monitor compliance and influence and engage teams to make improvements where necessary. To support the design and implementation of organisation wide OD initiatives including performance management, leadership development, employee engagement, and culture change. • To act as coach and critical friend for senior teams, actively challenging norms and existing practices to drive continuous improvement. To provide support to Managers for resource strategy planning, key recruitment, talent planning (performance, talent, succession, L&D) • To facilitate and encourage an effective employee relations culture, where issues are dealt with promptly and effectively to reduce the need for formal interventions. To provide feedback, insights & learning back from operational teams to feed into the wider organisational people strategy. To support the wider strategic people objectives; carrying out project work that may span the whole organisation. To coach, support and develop the Assistant People Business Partner (where applicable) About you • Educated to a degree/comparable NVQ level equivalent, preferably with Level 7 CIPD. • Experience in a true business partnering role. • Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice and ability to practically implement. • Experience in implementing organisational change with demonstrable positive results. • Experience of line managing team members and being involved in their development and regular reviews. • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an organisation. • Able to analyse information and comfortable to communicate in a compelling way, while simplifying complexity to suit all audiences. • Able to coach line managers to use their judgement and make the right decisions for employees and the people we support Benefits include: A competitive salary of up to £51,000 per annum DOE 38 Days annual leave per year Group life assurance.
