We are seeking to recruit a Quality Controller for our client based in Syston. The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day QC monitoring of manufactured products and incoming raw materials. The Quality Controller will ensure that manufacturing processes operate in accordance with standards and that all quality checks are performed as required. The Role:
* Maintain the elements of the quality system to fully meet the requirements
* Audit the relevant sections of the Quality Management system to ensure compliance and report all non-conformances
* Review quality failures, conduct root cause investigations, and make recommendations for corrective action and future prevention
* Ensure compliance with site certification standards
* Conduct internal audits (self-inspections) and inspections conducted by external parties, such as regulatory agencies or customers
* Ensure all complaints are logged, investigated, and responded to in a timely manner
* Maintain and update as required all product specifications, QA and HACCP Manual, and customer specifications
* Provide Technical support (technical agreements, technical documentation, Certificate of Analysis etc.)
* Carry out checks on the quality of incoming raw materials, check incoming Material Test Certificates and ensure specifications are met
* Proofread product labels and correct where relevant
* Ensure staff follow and maintain regulations, procedures, and adoption of quality standards; provide training when required
* Carry out regular spot checks on staff’s personal hygiene, paperwork filling, hygiene of the area, and equipment
* Carry out and report daily startup and in-process hygiene audits
* Check daily & weekly paperwork and file them in the respective folders
* Manage storage and logistics of samples, carry out Quality Control of samples
* Perform a wide range of laboratory tests on in-process and finished products
* Manage calibration of weighing equipment.
