Maternity Cover Position: Position: SEND Teaching Assistant Length: Maternity Cover Location: Warrington Role Responsibilities: As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the academic and social development of our Year 10 student with ASD. Your responsibilities will include: Providing tailored 1:1 support to the student, both in and out of the classroom. Implementing and adapting strategies to meet the specific needs of the student. Assisting the student in accessing the curriculum and engaging in classroom activities. Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment. Collaborating with the class teacher, and other staff members to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Monitoring and reporting on the student's progress to inform educational planning. Providing emotional support and building a strong rapport with the student to enhance their well-being. Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should possess: A genuine passion for working with students with ASD and a commitment to their development. Relevant experience in supporting children or young adults with special educational needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and resilience.
